'I will never forget seeing Charlotte carrying two huge Peacock chairs across a field ...then a rug...then pampas grass and thinking - what on earth!

Alexander Weddings Venue

Working in fashion has made me great at thinking on my feet, which works perfectly for my Weddings. While you’re busy with your guests I’ll be quietly working in the background—rearranging furniture, scouting the best spots, or finding the right people to help. Whatever it takes to create beautiful, timeless photos for you.

I’ve often been called an “extra bridesmaid” by my couples -  I’m there to capture every precious moment, but I’m also there to help you breathe before walking down the aisle, fix your hair if a pin falls out, or track down your lipstick after the wedding breakfast.

"Charlotte went above and beyond! I mentioned wanting a car shot, but we hadn’t booked one since we only had a short walk to the ceremony. Next thing I knew, I stepped outside to find a classic car waiting. Charlotte had actually flagged down a local and asked if we could use their car for a quick shoot. I was blown away by her confidence and quick thinking!"

 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Wedding planning can feel overwhelming at times.  To make things easier, here are some of the most common questions I get about booking me for Wedding Photography.

How would you describe your style?

My wedding photography style is a unique blend of nostalgic film vibes and a modern editorial edge. Inspired by the timeless aesthetics of 80s and early 90s photography, I love creating images that feel both classic and fresh. Whenever possible, I incorporate off-camera flash to add depth and drama, elevating the overall look. With a background in the fashion industry, I bring a refined, fashion-forward approach to my wedding work, ensuring your photos are as stylish as they are heartfelt.

When should we book you?

I typically take wedding bookings up to 2 years in advance. However, I do occasionally have last-minute availability, so it’s always worth checking depending on my schedule. Once you’re sure I’m the right photographer for your big day, I’ll send over the contract and request a deposit. At that point, everything is official, and we’re all set to go! I only take on a limited number of weddings as I also work as a fashion photographer.

What if you got a big brand fashion job the day of our wedding?

Weddings are my top priority. Once you've booked with me, you can rest assured that your date is firmly blocked off in my diary. My reputation is everything, and I’ve worked hard to get where I am today by being reliable and dedicated to every couple I work with.

What if you were ill on our wedding day?

Every photographer's worst nightmare is not being able to show up, but thankfully, this has never happened to me. I always say it would take something serious—like a limb hanging off—to stop me from turning up! A few years ago, I had surgery and was very ill with a stomach condition. On the day of one wedding, I took a sudden turn for the worse, but nothing stopped me—I still showed up, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, even though I was incredibly sick (afterward, I spent the rest of the weekend resting!). What I’m trying to say is, I have one of the hardest work ethics you’ll find. However, if something completely out of my control ever prevented me from attending your wedding, I have a trusted community of photographers around me, as well as a fantastic team of second shooters and assistants, so you’d never be left without someone to capture your special day.

What is the booking process?

If you like what you see so far, get in touch and introduce yourselves! I’ll then send you my brochure. If you’re excited about me being the photographer for your day, the next step is to book a Zoom call. This is where you can ask any questions, and I’ll get to hear all about your plans for the big day. After that, if we’re a good fit, I’ll send over a contract and request a £500 non-refundable booking fee. Once that’s done, you’re officially in my diary, and we’re all set!

How long until we get our images?

On the day of your wedding, I’ll send you approximately 15 sneak peek images. Your final gallery will be delivered within 90 days. The exact timing depends on the time of year and my workload. For example, a wedding in January will typically receive their gallery much quicker than one in July

Do we meet in person before hand?

Once you’ve officially booked, I ask that you keep in touch with me. I love hearing all about your plans and how you’re feeling as the big day approaches. About 4 weeks before your wedding, we’ll have another Zoom call to go over the timing and details. If you’ve booked a pre-wedding shoot or bridal boudoir session, we can also use this time for more catch-ups. If you'd prefer to meet in person, just let me know during your initial consultation. While I’m usually back-to-back during the summer months, I’m always up for a coffee from January to March!

What if you haven't shot my venue before?

As much as I love shooting at many venues I regularly work with, as a creative, there’s something truly exciting about arriving somewhere new. Exploring and playing with the lighting is where I really thrive. If I haven’t shot at a venue before, I typically arrive slightly earlier—just to get my bearings—but it’s nothing major. This is my job, and I do it every day, so it’s never a problem if it’s a new location. You’re booking me for my creative eye, and throughout the day, I’ll be calculating the best spots for your wedding edit.

Do you shoot destination Weddings?

I absolutely love shooting destination weddings. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of capturing love stories in beautiful locations like Mallorca, New York, Rome, Venice, Paris, Ireland, Santorini, and the South of France. Please get in touch if you'd like a full breakdown of booking me as your destination photographer.
